Question: Why does everyone have this misconception that once you become a member of the music industry, you will be followed by millions & millions of dollars? Yeah, you can definitely get paid, depending on your career moves & such, but millions? No. Sorry to bust your bubbles, guys, but that's just a myth. Only a few have made it that big, & it wasn't JUST because of their music. Take 50 Cent for example. That man came in the game with heavy buzz, and used that buzz to make very powerful moves. He currently has his own record label, had his own clothing line, owns a huge stake in VitaminWater which is owned by Coca-Cola and which also gave him a huge boost in income when Coca-Cola purchased the VitaminWater company, multiple book deals, and now currently has his own fragrance. All of those ventures take time, and alot of hard work and patience. A few thousand records sold didn't get him to where he's at. So, keep in mind, you make powerful business moves, you make powerful money. 90% of the rappers out there are broke, living in apartments just like yours. That's one of the major reasons this industry is so saturated with nonsense. So, please people, if you can get it elsewhere, please do. Most of you guys are just wasting your time. And mine.
